Hampshire County Government is the devolved executive government for Hampshire County within England.
HCG develops and administers government policy within its competence. The Hampshire Chamber is the legislature: it makes law where applicable, scrutinises HCG, controls confidence and performs the financial and scrutiny functions given to it.
The Hampshire County Government Act 2026 provides temporary ministerial administration through the Secretary of State for England until ordinary Hampshire County Government is formed and capable of exercising its functions. A First Minister, Cabinet or Hampshire Minister is shown here only after the appointment has been lawfully made and published.
